In the Wizard of Oz it seems like everything stands for something else. Like the yellow brick road is like the correct path for life and if you stray to far from the path you could get in trouble. The town of Oz is like a paridise. Everything there seems to be perfect. You dont have to work and you can do almost anything possible. I believe the Wizard of OZ is like life. You follow the path and if you dont stray from it you will acheive your goals for life.
assignment #5

March 30, 2010My best friend’s dad Thomas Cantrell is a renaissance man in my eyes because he seems to know a little bit about everything in life. Any time i have ever asked him for advice he seemed to know exactly what i was talking about and he can usually help me with whatever problem i am facing at the time. Throughout his life he has learned a lot because he has never been afraid to try new things and i believe that makes him a renaissance man
Do you believe in ghosts?
March 22, 2010People during the English Renaissance were terrified of ghosts and witches. Ghosts were blamed for almost everything bad that happened. They believed ghosts were responsible for everything from sick animals and bad crops to storms and fires. It was believed that ghosts were the spirits of the dead that couldn’t rest until they seek there reenge or finish a task in the real world. It was also believed that they could only leave their graves at night.
Today most people claim that ghosts do not exist but at the same time others claim to see them. People are not afraid of ghosts for the most part and we do not blame them for our problems. My family does not believe in ghosts and we have no superstitions about them.
Many places are considered to be haunted by ghosts. Old battlefields where hundreds of people died are usually considered haunted. Also places where people tragically die are often considered haunted. Some people are crazy when it comes to ghost. they will hunt the ghosts and try to figure out why they are still on earth and what happened to them.
